What is the Black Party??

The black party is a loose affiliation of people who believe in the de-segregation of Party Politics in the United States Government. Conscientious Voting by far is the best way that US citizens can and will overcome problems inherent in a two-party system.

Black party members cast their ballot for a candidate only when they have confidence that the candidate will make our community a better place. Black Party members nevertheless cast their ballot when there is no legitimate candidate for a given office.

Essentially, we in the Black Political Party believe that apathy does not really exist, but what exists ominously is only the perception of Apathy. Each and every intelligent US citizen does care about politics and the way government is run by our politicians.

The build-up of apparent Apathy is a vicious cycle which exists in the relationship between citizens and their politicians. Today, most citizens feel as if they are choosing a candidate between the lesser of two evils. And this choice is a disheartening one at best. Many people who are eligible to vote would rather not support either one. So they don't vote.

Politicians have grown callous because of the lack of voter-turnout. Politicians seem only interested in appealing to voters, not all citizens. Politicians are interested in appealing to voters who are supporters and dissenters alike . Most politicians I know find a way to overlook that part of our population, who does not make it to the poll.

That is why we members of the Black Party believe in this key difference:
the difference between voting for no one and not voting.
Thin
k about this. You are going into the booth on an ordinary Tuesday, pulling the lever down, and then looking at each name, ignoring the party to which this candidate or that candidate belongs. You assess every person with no obligation to favor one over the others. There seems to be some great obligation to choose one. But is there?

We members of the Black Political Party believe that a good leader and candidate deserves a vote and support from the public in general. Good leaders should champion the support of Society rather than some partiality within It. We believe that there is an obligation to vote and choose neither candidate for a given office.

We must not vote one candidate or another. In fact, citizens do a service for our community by REGISTERING & VOTING for no one. When it is all said and done, the votes who are tallied up for neither candidate will stare the Victor in the face, reminding him or her of the public's awareness.

The goal of the Black Political Party is three-fold:
1. To deprive all undeserving candidates of a majority vote.
2. To register all eligible citizens to vote and stay informed on all candidates including Independence, Green, and Libertarian Parties.
3. To maximize voter turnout in non-presidential election years.
